Specialized Events Intern- Summer 2017

My time as an intern at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas has mainly been spent in Food and Beverage as a server at the resort pool.  I, along with a team of around 25 others, collaborated to ensure the needs of our guests as well as each other were met. 
​Together, we provided our guests with superior service, unmatched experience, and a home away from home. As a specialized events intern had the pleasure of working in the newly renovated conference center a few times a week working a wide variety of events from personal to corporate.

The Four Seasons Culture

The Four Seasons is a Canadian-based luxury hotel management company. The company began in 1950 as a motor in and has evolved into a global company that has redefined the luxury hotel and resort industry. 

The Resort Pool- Agave 

During my internship, I spent most of my days in Food and Beverage as a server at the resort pool and Agave restaurant. As a intern I was expected to not only uphold the values of the Four Seasons, but put them into use in my everyday tasks to ensure quality service is provided. My daily responsibilities include serving guests and members to the upmost quality while also hitting the service standards that are in place including name recognition, product knowledge, serving procedures, and providing exceptional service. In order to provide the high level of service that is expected from the Four Seasons, the company enables and trusts their employees to take good or bad situations and turn them into amazing experiences they will remember forever. 

Specialized Event Intern

Once a week I would spend my day in the newly renovated conference center where I would be helping with the planning and executing of numerous events. The events ranged from small personal gatherings to large corporate conferences and varied in size and length. In events, I was in charge of creating consumption sheets and flow charts, making sure the guest was happy, and the execution of the timeline.  

I was able to participate in large events such as the Byron Nelson golf tournament, the 4th of July, Memorial day, and the Neiman Marcus vendor showcase.
